The F.H. Langhammer Luncheon Series, made possible through a generous grant from AICGS' Board of Trustees co-chair Fred H. Langhammer, Chairman, Global Affairs at Estée Lauder, is an exclusive, high-level luncheon series designed to raise AICGS' profile among political and corporate elites in Washington, DC and New York City. These special luncheons represent a unique opportunity for frank, off-the-record dialogue among a very select group of high-level German and American corporate leaders and policymakers. Each luncheon features an elite guest of honor of either German or American political or corporate rank.
The Luncheon Series aims at strengthening and enhancing the German-American partnership on the executive level between political and corporate leaders on both sides of the Atlantic. The luncheons raise the Institute's profile in Washington and New York by inviting political figures with experience in the executive branch, the military, and the U.S. Congress while at the same time providing a platform to discuss crucial issues of mutual concern. The series is designed to focus on key issues currently on the transatlantic agenda, in particular with an eye on solutions to political and/or economic problems. These off-the-record high-level exchanges produce valuable insights for both the attendees and the Institute.
