U.S. and German Responses to the New Global Economy

This event is the second of the Allianz Geoeconomics Speaker Series. Marcel Fratzscher is President of DIW Berlin (German Institute of Economic Research)—one of the leading research institutes and think tanks in Europe—and Professor of Macroeconomics and Finance at Humboldt University Berlin. Prof. Fratzscher has previously worked as Head of the International Policy Analysis Division at the European Central Bank, at the Peterson Institute for International Economics, at the Harvard Institute for International Development, and at the Asian Development Bank and the World Bank. He received his Ph.D. in Economics from the European University Institute, an M.P.P. from Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government, and a B.A. in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics from Oxford University. He is a regular columnist for the German weekly newspaper Die Zeit.
